Ras Al Khaimah invests into Indonesian coal infrastructure

RAK Minerals and Metals Investments (RMMI) has announced its interest in the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan’s coal infrastructure, on behalf of the Government of Ras al Khaimah. Investments are planned to be made by RMMI into the coal infrastructure in East Kalimantan. The company has already acquired the required approvals to begin work on a coal jetty and railway network in East Kutai.

Over the next five years,
Ras al Khaimah Investment into Indonesian resources and coal industry related infrastructure will advantageously position RMMI to support the growing energy requirements of the Middle East, especially those of the United Arab Emirates.

Ras Al Khaimah is one of the fastest growing Emirates in the United Arab Emirates. In order to sustain this, the Government of Ras Al Khaimah is targeting its investment into alternative energy sources.
